Stew Clinger
Coach Clinger began his coaching career assisting his son's high school summer team. He was instantly hooked and continued to do that for two years. From there, he started the Westerville American Legion team so players in his son's class would have a place to play in between high school graduation and college ball. That year the team ended up losing their District Championship to the eventual Ohio State Legions Champs. In the mid-90's he created and coached the Westerville Boys of Summer team, a college player Summer program made up of mainly NCAA D-III players, winning double championships in their 3rd year. Clinger's coaching opportunities really took off when he was an assistant coach with the Delaware Cows of the Great Lakes Collegiate Wood Bat League. There, he worked with NCAA D-I players from places like Mississippi, Mississippi State, Clemson, LSU, Georgia, and locally from Ohio State, Ball State and Kent State. Working with this level of players made him realize that college baseball is where he wanted to coach, as the players knew the fundamentals and just needed to learn the fine points of the game. This led Clinger to an 8-year run as an assistant coach at Ohio Wesleyan University, where he coached the catchers and also worked with batting, base running and corner infielders. OWU is where he developed recruiting abilities and learned the inner workings of what all a collegiate head coach is responsible for doing.

Cory Branham
Primarily a catcher and right fielder, Coach Branham played youth through varsity baseball in the Plymouth area. His fondest baseball memory, as a player, was playing on the Mid-Ohio Champion Babe Ruth League team as a teenager. He has been active in baseball since age 5. On the advice of his coaches, Coach Branham served as a player-coach on his high school baseball team as a Senior. Recently, he has been a volunteer coach with Nike and USA Baseball at Ohio Christian University. He is currently a Varsity Head Coach, as well as a summer league head coach. With umpire, playing, and coaching experience, Coach Branham has a lot to bring to the table and has active licenses with the state of Ohio and USA Baseball. In the summer of 2021, he created and directed a highly successful local youth skills baseball camp. Coach Branham says that he loves baseball because it is a true team game - everyone has to do their part to be successful. He loves working with young players because he wants to see young players take their game to the next level! Coaching with young players one on one is a great way to help with the mental and physical aspects of baseball. As Yogi Berra once said “Baseball is 90% mental, the other half is physical!”
